We are Tobias and Julian. In 2016 we brought ADAM BOWS to life. Since then we have been living our dream of having our own small fashion manufacturer.

How it all began

One day one of us wanted to get married and it was all about dressing up. No problem, thought Tobias. But then a seemingly endless search for beautiful accessories began. When all the research came up empty-handed, the idea came: why not make something yourself that you can't find anywhere else.

The idea

This is how the vision of two friends who had known each other since childhood was born. The idea became more and more tangible and we realized that it could work. Because of our jobs, our time was limited to evenings and nights. But that was enough to lay the foundation. As we sewed the first samples in the living room, our dream of having our own company for men's accessories became more and more real. There was no turning back now.

The founding

With the official founding, the idea became reality. Start of "Adam Bows". Boom. Now it was time to put our whole heart and soul into it. This time was intense. Only through our absolute enthusiasm were we able to overcome a number of hurdles, because there was a lot to learn. Luckily, we both have very different strengths that complement each other very well. Julian is the creative mind and Tobias always keeps an overview. This enabled us to realize almost all areas, such as product development, online shop and design, 100% ourselves.

First Sales

At the end of 2016, we finally launched our website. We had everything prepared and now the excitement was building. Would anyone even want our products? Nothing happened for a few days. Then the first order came. Even though it was just a single fly, we completely freaked out and ran around the apartment dancing. Of course, we didn't have a proper office back then.

Present

A lot has happened since then and we have learned a lot. Be it about fashion, the way of running a company and, above all, how we can inspire you with our products. We have also moved into a real Adam Bows home. Since 2020 you can find us in Hamburg's old town. You are welcome to visit us here by prior arrangement and take a look at our accessories. Water and beer are cold :)

Since it eventually became a bit too much work for both of us, we welcomed our first employee in 2019. Since then, the team has grown to 6 indispensable people.

We no longer only sell our accessories through our online shop. You can find us in around 80 stores across Germany.

The family business

By the way, it should be mentioned that the wedding mentioned at the beginning made us brothers-in-law. This makes Adam Bows a real small family business (Tobias ⚭ Julian's sister). And when the going gets tough, the rest of the family has to step in too ;)
